Four additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit on Monday.
“All new cases presented in today’s reporting are close contacts of the case reported on Aug. 20,” the health unit indicated on its website. That community case from last week is in the Grenville County area. The revised map on Monday shows five active community cases in Grenville.
The updated figures posted by the health unit on weekday afternoons are based on data collected as of 4 p.m. the previous day.
To date, there have been 361 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region that consists of Leeds, Grenville and Lanark. Fifty-two deaths have been attributed to the virus; 304 cases are listed as recovered, with five considered active.
The COVID assessment centre at the Brockville Memorial Centre is closed on Tuesday because of work to be carried out in the building. The assessment centre is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Walk-ins are permitted.
The Brockville location is open on weekdays from 10 to 5:30 p.m. and on weekends from 10 to 2:30. For more information, visit healthunit.org.
