NORTH GRENVILLE – A local man is dead after a fatal collision southeast of Kemptville Sunday.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Grenville County responded to the fatal, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of South Gower Drive and Pelton Road after a motorcycle and another vehicle collided, police said.
It took place at approximately 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The operator of the motorcycle was thrown from his machine and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. The deceased was identified by police as 72-year-old Lui Hrobelsky of North Grenville.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
An OPP collision reconstructionist and technical collision investigators are assisting Grenville OPP in an effort to determine the cause of the collision.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation.
