POLICE: Disturbance at hospital

A 25-year-old woman was charged following an incident at Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday.

Brockville police were called to deal with someone who was reportedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the hospital. The woman continued to yell, scream and cause a disruption when officers attended, police said in a news release. She was arrested and removed from the property. The accused was charged with causing a disturbance and is to appear in court at a later date.

Refuses to provide breath sample

Brockville police received reports about a vehicle on Highway 401 that was exiting at Stewart Boulevard late Tuesday afternoon. A vehicle was stopped; officers detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath, police said in a news release. The 28-year-old woman was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. Her driver’s licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.

Sleeping in vehicle

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On Monday morning, Brockville police receiving a call about someone sleeping in a vehicle on William Street. Officers went there to check on her well-being and located meth and cocaine, according to a police news release. The accused was charged at the scene and released.

Traffic stop leads to charges

Brockville police stopped a vehicle in the area of Millwood Avenue late Monday night. Officers observed an open container of liquor, ammunition and cannabis, police said in a news release. A 32-year-old woman was charged with careless storage of ammunition, possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis, and having an open container of liquor. She is to appear in court at a later date.
