POLICE: Traffic stop nets drugs topping $8,000

Two men face multiple trafficking and other charges after being arrested by Brockville Police on Wednesday morning.

City police conducted a traffic stop in the south end of Brockville at 10:50. Officers reportedly located drugs that include fentanyl, crack, speed, crystal meth, hydromorphone and oxycodone.

The drugs have an estimated street value of more than $8,000, police said Thursday. A 38-year-old and a 31-year-old man face six counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking as well as various breaches and Highway Traffic Act charges, according to a police news release.

The men were held in custody for a bail hearing.
