It’s merchandise that has real value for two local not-for-profits.
The Brockville Country Club’s host tournament committee for the Ontario junior girls golf championship has launched an online apparel sale ahead of the provincial tournament slated for Aug. 1-5. Five items are available: a Champion hooded sweatshirt; an Adidas women’s golf cap and shirt; and an Adidas men’s golf cap and shirt.
Tournament apparel will not be on sale at the event; pre-orders are to be placed by July 15
Net profits from hoodie sales as well as $5 from the sale of each tournament golf cap and shirt will be split between Leeds and Grenville Interval House and Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada.
“So it’s a win-win,” according to a host committee release. “The customer gets some great event ‘merch’ and these two outstanding organizations get some much needed funds to help run their important programs.”

Ninety of Ontario’s top young female golfers will open the 72-hole championship on Aug. 2. The tournament had originally been slated for early July but was moved back when provincial events were rescheduled because of COVID-19 restrictions in place this spring. Brockville was to have hosted the Ontario girls championship in 2020.
