Mason Moore has proven to have plenty of jump in his sporting endeavors, and now he is jumping for joy about his upcoming collegiate career.
The recent Salisbury Composite High School graduate is a proficient high jumper on the track circuit, finishing third at the Intermediate level in the Metro Edmonton League track and field championships just over a year ago.
But it is his leaps on the court that have netted him notice, as his play for the Sal Sabres senior boys volleyball squad have earned him a college commitment to join the MacEwan University Griffins volleyball team come the return of college play whenever it is deemed safe in the COVID-19 world.
“This is really special,” Moore said. “I have wanted to secure a college commitment like this for so long. I always thought of playing for MacEwan. I would go to their campus and think what a cool school it would be to go to. I have just always wanted to play there.”
